Where Am I?

Someone mentioned he was grappling with the notion of self vs. selflessness. The following thought occurred to me:

LOL. Is a car without its doors still the same car? What if the body is removed? And the frame? The tires and wheels? When I am done pulling off parts, I should be left with just the "car"', right?

I wonder how many of my parts need be removed before I am not exactly what I was before it happened? A finger? My head? An atom? Dependent arising has been a life-changing lesson for me.
